"Celebrating Local Agriculture"
Join us in celebrating local agriculture through our television and internet programming. This celebration is to be a continuing series of conversations and discussions regarding local agriculture. We will follow the food chain to see how food is grown, by whom, and the flow that it travels to the consumer's table.
Our travels will take us to our local schools and the student's lunch programs, road-side stands, farmer's markets, supermarkets and restaurants just to name a few locations.
Our goal is to encourage our viewers to the discovering of our local surroundings by learning who their food producing neighbors are.
We will invite the public to take time to pick up a copy of "Sonoma County Farm Trails Map and Guide" and accept an invitation to visit some of the local farms or just enjoy a family weekend outing in your own community. Among the many community services you can contribute to, one of the best is the one in which we do every day.......... Consuming!
These television programs will help to support local farmers both large and small, and they will help educate families and students to the wonders of locally grown food products.
